A high proportion of our team of 20 advisors holds the Advanced Financial Planning Certificate and G60, the qualification required to give much called for pension transfer advice. We are also of the select number of IFA Practices who have a qualified Investment Portfolio Manager.
The principal or technical manager of the practice deals with all initial enquiries. The nature of the enquiry is determined and the appropriate adviser assigned. We have many advisers with varying levels of qualification and experience. Within the practice we have four pension specialists with the G60 qualification necessary to give pension transfer advice. We also have an adviser qualified in Investment Portfolio Management, and several hold the Advanced Financial Planning Certificate. Depending on whom we assign to the enquiry we will either invite you into our offices or give you the choice of a preliminary meeting at your home or office. The purpose of the meeting is firstly to establish whether we are able to assist with your needs and objectives and secondly to discuss how we would be paid for our services should we be instructed to proceed. There is no charge for this preliminary meeting and no obligation on either side. At AFH we only advise clients who are interested in developing a long-term relationship with an adviser. Our clients become friends and that is the way we like to work. Our emphasis is on service and not the one off sale of a financial product. We therefore do not offer an execution only or discount broker service. As Independent Financial Advisers we are free to advise on financial products available from all product providers. We use advanced computer software to research, compare and select the most suitable deals currently available. We are thus able to make arrangements to maximize the benefits to our clients. You will receive professional advice about whether your financial arrangements are already good, and where they´re inadequate (or not covered at all). In almost all cases we are able to make arrangements which clients would be unable to make for themselves.
