Borrowers need for Independent Mortgage Advice increases in uncertain economic climate

Statistics show that since the beginning of the year there has been an increasing number of first-time buyers turn to Independent Mortgage Advisers to secure their mortgage.

"In the first quarter of this year, over 80 per cent of first-time buyers used an intermediary - a ten per cent increase on the previous year," he continued.

The re-mortgage markets also saw intermediary business up by ten per cent."

Peter Williams, the executive director of the Intermediary Mortgage Lenders Association, pointed out last month that mortgage advice services are an invaluable aid, particularly for first-time buyers attempting to navigate a "bewildering" market place.
